Everyone Can Make A Difference

VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART AND SOUL OF GIRL SCOUTING. WHETHER YOU HAVE AN HOUR, A DAY, A WEEKEND, OR MORE, GIRL SCOUTS HAS AN OPPORTUNITY THAT’S RIGHT FOR YOU. IT’S EASY AND FUN TO VOLUNTEER!

Although many parents get involved in Girl Scouting with their daughters, Girl Scout volunteers also include college students; busy professionals, including those with no children; and young-at-heart retirees. Below are some of the many opportunities to make a difference in girls’ lives.

TROOP LEADERS/ADVISORS
Troop Leaders/Advisors
It’s fun to spend time with girls. They laugh and learn and their energy is contagious. Why not share your experience with a group of girls by becoming a Girl Scout Leader/Advisor. You and a friend could sign up together as Co-Leaders for a group of girls – you select the level, from kindergarten through high school. Or you could be an Assistant Leader/Advisor to someone who has already stepped forward. We offer free training and an extensive support structure to make your leadership experience more enjoyable and enriching. Help the girls in your community to discover their world, connect with others, and begin to take action to make the world a better place. It will put a smile on your face!

OTHER WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
– Do you have a passion for something that you can share with girls? No matter where your interests, skills, or talents lie, you can use them to make an impact on a girl’s life. Girl Scout volunteers perform many key functions like creating events, facilitating book clubs, taking photos, advising boating groups, managing cookie sales, sharing career experiences, teaching scrapbooking or helping girls learn outdoor skills… just to name just a few. We offer a range of flexible and fulfilling opportunities, from a few hours or a single day, to once a week or monthly.

WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS, THERE WOULD BE NO GIRL SCOUTING.
