SAVE THE PLANET

Girl Scouting makes it fun to be green. An appreciation of the earth’s beauty and resources combined with a philosophy of social responsibility, have always been the bedrock of the Girl Scout program. Environmentally focused projects, group chats, games, and a lot of outdoor fun are all part of the mix. When Girl Scouts learn about endangered wildlife, develop their own creative recycling projects, or do the work required to earn age-appropriate awards like the Environmental Health Badge or the Eco-Action Interest Project Award, they are being inspired to focus on the care, conservation, and safety of our planet for future generations. Girl Scouts also have many opportunities to develop a keen environmental awareness through green program activities like: Art & Nature Summer Camp; ANTS; World Neighbors Summer Camp.
