More Fun, Friends, Outdoor Adventures
Girls who attend Camp Scherman always remember the great fun, friends and adventures. However, like all Girl Scout experiences, Camp Scherman programs offer more far-reaching benefits that change girls' lives. At Camp Scherman, girls:

   • Strengthen group and social skills
   • Learn and practice leadership skills
   • Safely test their limits and boost their confidence
   • Challenge themselves to try new things
   • Discover new talents, interests and abilities

Day Camps-Local Communities

Local community day camps are provided by Girl Scout volunteers between June-August. Girls enjoy a fun outdoor experience close to home where they can learn and grow in a safe and secure environment. Community Day camps also provide leadership experiences for teen Girl Scouts who help plan and run the camps in partnership with caring and trained adult Girl Scout volunteers.
