BE THE LEADER

Girl Scouting is as powerful as it is fun. In fact, Girl Scouting provides the nation’s most successful leadership and personal growth experiences for girls.

In Girl Scouting, being a leader is not just about holding a position of authority; it is a philosophy of respect for self and others, community service, and philanthropy. Through activities that build self-confidence, and encourage creative decision-making and teamwork, girls develop real-world leadership abilities that will last them a lifetime. As they earn badges, patches, and awards, girls can interview female leaders, set goals, build team spirit and communication skills, develop successful problem-solving techniques, and gain confidence in their own abilities Girls learn what true leadership means, identify leadership styles, and have opportunities to practice their leadership skill through Girl Scout program activities like: Program Aide training and Counselor-in-training.
