SMART with money

By developing money management skills (financial literacy) early in life, girls learn how to increase their income, become responsible consumers, create a budget, build and manage credit, and save and invest for their future. As they earn badges and awards, girls begin to recognize the importance of managing their money and how to make it grow.

Most Girl Scouts look forward each year to participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program, but did you know that it has evolved into the nation’s leading business and financial literacy program run by and for girls? In addition, Girl Scouts empowers girls to make smart financial decisions with invaluable program activities like College 101 and How to Deal.
