Girl Scouting changes lives. 25,000 Orange County Girl Scouts work together and ‘learn by doing’ as they participate in unique educational experiences and community service projects that change their lives. Girl Scouting makes Orange County a better place for all by empowering tens of thousands of girls from every culture and economic circumstance with leadership skills, abilities and values that inspire them to be their personal best and serve others. As a 501(c)3 charity, Girl Scouts depends totally on private funding. To ensure that any girl may join Girl Scouts, families pay a membership fee of $12 per girl. However, the Council's cost to deliver quality program and support Girl Scouts 8,000 active volunteers is actually $322 per girl.
You can change lives too – and have fun doing it! Consider becoming a sponsor for the 2010 Urban Adventure Badge Bash.
